As per the Denturists Profession Regulation, all members must have current and valid CPR certification at a level approved by Council.

Council policy states that a CPR course taken by regulated members for the purposes of registration must include:
  • Didactic learning and assessment
  • Hands-on training and assessment for CPR for adult, child and infant
  • Hands-on training for effective ventilation using a barrier device
  • Hands-on training for automated external defibrillator (AED)
  • Hands-on training for relief of foreign-body airway obstruction for adult, child and infant
Courses that meet this requirement include Red Cross CPR-C and Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation BLS. Should you wish to access another course and have questions about its suitability, please do not hesitate to contact the College.
